What the score reflects
- Hours (30 pts): 7–9 hours rewarded; outside that, points decline.
- Awakenings (25 pts): 0 best; each long awakening costs 5 pts.
- Deep + REM ratio (25 pts): 20%+ ideal. If unknown, leave 0 — the other 75 pts still apply.
- Subjective restfulness (20 pts): how you actually felt.

Why include subjective restfulness?
Trackers and wearables miss things: pre-sleep stress, room temperature, dream recall. Subjective feel is independent signal — and often what matters most.
What if my deep ratio reading is unreliable?
Wearables estimate deep sleep with ~30–60% accuracy vs polysomnography. Treat it as directional. The score still works with that field left at 0.
